RoDwY Black is our first collection on the market. An insiders choice, it has become a collectors item after just one year. The idea and design has been directly inspired by active kite surfers. That is why it has been refered to as truly « authentic kirtewear ». We are proud the collection as received such an endorsement by active athletes and strive to achieve a genuine style that is immediately recognizable. We all are fascinated by the « myth kite surfing » and this will continue to drive us in the future.
Crosspant
Wherever a person wears Rodwy, he shows that he is a kiter and is identifying with the sport. The collection KITE is made for the water. The centerpiece is the technically functional “Rodwy Kite Crosspant”. It is a new concept boardshort which is more than a simple colored overpant which rarely withstand the extreme conditions of our sport. Even our relatively simple boardshort is more than its name indicates. The crosspant inspires power and technicality, taste of the extreme. It will follow you through everything you undertake on the water.
The crosspant will evolve every year in color, style, function and material. But we can't reinvent it only continually improve it. It's a classic just as the Porsche 911. The unchanged original which is shown here will continue to be available in the future. Some even wear it for snow kiting over warm winter gear. Others wear it for wakeboarding because of its cool looks and the way it follows all the movements.
Lycra
Our lycras “Neoback” are equipped with neoprene inserts exactly where evaporation on normal lycras unpleasingly cools the kiter. As we all know, this can lead to hypothermia and be quite dangerous.
As a matter of fact, lycras are not made for kite surfing. They have been invented by surfers who wanted to protect themselves against rash (bunk chest hair) on waxed boards. This has always been their only purpose. Then, wind and kite surfers have adopted this “protective clothing” even if it doesn't make sense for us. So Rodwy wants to do away with this traditional wear – but more of that later – because:
Dispite all these inconveniences Rodwy produces a different protective and neoprene equipped lycra which has become a cult item also. Yes, we are talking about the “Rodwy Promo Lycra”. It apparently represents the Rodwy vision so well that it is almost sold out and we will have to restock it. It somehow has become a perfect symbol for Rodwy design. Mike Blomvall for example puts it in scene world wide with the most spectacular moves and victorious rides.
Fashion
Our high quality fashion collection, our t-shirts and sweat shirts are made of the best materials available. You can now add your personal note to those items with “style your own Rodwy”.
Last but not least : the “Rodwy Black Hoody”. It has almost become a collectors item, it's got something special, it's a “feel-good” must have, everybody wants it. It is sold out in almost all sizes. Size S is often used by girls even though we have no female collection as for yet, which is regrettable as women often have a very elegant style on the water which rarely is matched by male kiters. We will restock it and it will continue to be available in the future. The Hoody will remain unchanged. You can't reinvent cult objects like that, only improve some details. Those little improvements will make it even more desirable. Where will it end? “Gold and silver”?...
